classic fLAtDiSk VR Dream series was created between 1992 and 1994.
There are 9 VR Dreams in all, but one of them, NiteMall*, has been
withdrawn from distribution because it never compiled correctly. You can
download them here as .ZIP files. The entire series also comes on CD in
SAM Books' "Virtual Reality Madness and More, Volume 2". These programs are from a time when the fastest PCs in most people's homes were 286/386s. They were written for MS-DOS - they all work under Windows 3.1 and Win 9x - but using a mouse is almost impossible because they run way too fast on modern computers. Lucky for you they have keyboard commands (see .ZIP file docs) so you can still navigate around and get hopelessly lost inside them. Enjoy! |
